  • Nortel/Avaya Branded phones:

  • Model ends in 0 = (2.4 GHz frequency band)

  • Model ends in 4 = (1900 - 1930 MHz frequency band)

  • Model ends in 9 = (1900 - 1930 MHz frequency band)

  • Spectralink branded phones:

  • 7440 = 1G9 (1900 - 1930 MHz frequency band)

Model Numbers and Phone Frequencies:

  • Checking Frequency (to identify model)

  • Press: *99982* OK (or checkmark)

    • 2g4 = Model 7440 (2G4 - The North American legacy DECT variant operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency band)

    • 1g9 = Model 7449 (1G9 - The North American DECT variant operating in the 1920 - 1930 MHz frequency band)

Additional Handset commands/tools:

  • Look up IPEI/Serial #

    • Press: *99984* OK (or checkmark) - 12 digit number is IPEI

  • Activating Signal Meter Mode

    1. Turn the wireless handsets on

    2. Dial *99989* (Note: Make sure that "Key Lock" is not active - to turn off Key Lock, Press: Menu *

    3. Press OK (checkmark) - The Signal Meter Display will appear

    • Turning Off Signal Meter Display

      • Press and hold the < key for 2 seconds - the wireless handset will return to the idle condition
