Time and Date:

  1. Press the ON/OFF key

  2. Press the PROG key

  3. Dial #3

  4. Enter the date and time (yyyymmddhhmm)

  5. Press the ON/OFF key

DBS 40,72,96 Port - Common System Features (Section 700 Feature Operation):

  • Call Forwarding

    1. Pick up the handset (or press ON/OFF)

    2. Dial 72

    3. Replace the handset (or press ON/OFF)

  • Do Not Disturb

  • (Note: The DND light on the phone should be lit when active)

    1. Pick up the handset (or press ON/OFF)

    2. Dial 73 (Note: If DND is on, this step turns it off, if DND is off, this step turns it on)

    3. Replace the handset (or press ON/OFF)

  • Night Mode

    • [ON/OFF # 520] toggles between three (3) modes: Day, Night 1, Night 2

  • Clearing an FF Key’s Programming

    1. Pick up the handset or press ON/OFF.

    2. Press PROG.

    3. Press the desired FF key.

    4. Press HOLD.

    5. Replace the handset or press ON/OFF.

  • Night Ring Over Paging / Ringing over Paging / Delayed Ring Table

    • Port-145 is for Universal Night Answer (UNA)

      • i.e. Add line numbers to port-145 to ring through the E-PA/Paging port

Cancelling Absence Messages

    • Pick up the handset or press ON/OFF

    • Dial 71

    • Press ON/OFF

Speed Dials

  • Personal Speed Dial Numbers:

    1. Press the ON/OFF key.

    2. Press the PROG key.

    3. Press the desired one-touch key to be programmed.

    4. Dial the phone number (no more than 16 characters).

    5. Press the HOLD key.

    6. Press the ON/OFF key. (The ON/OFF LED goes off.)

  • System Speed Dial Numbers:

    1. Enter programming mode:

      • ON/OFF, PROG, # #

    2. Press [FF10] (Line Key 10 for Speed Dials, usually right above line-4 button)

    3. Press 1# (System Speed Dials)

    4. SSD Code: (00-89 or 000-199)#

    5. Phone # to Dial: (NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN)# (up to 16 digits) - HOLD to store and move to next

      • Note: If a number is already entered and needs to be cleared, press CONF key here to clear

    6. Press ON/OFF key to exit programming


Checking Extension Port Number

  • When assigning names to extensions the extension port number must be known. This can be found by the following operation ‘Checking Extension Port Number’.

      1. [Operation]

      2. Press ON / OFF

      3. Press CONF

      4. Press #5

      5. Dial the port number ( 001 - 144 )

        1. -The assigned extension number is displayed on the screen

        2. The Star/* and Pound/# keys can be used to move to the previous and next ports

      6. Press ON / OFF


Misc Programming Help and notes:

  • Line Keys flash GREEN when programmed to RING.

    • Line Keys flash RED when programmed to APPEAR ONLY.

Checking and Changing Terminal Type (Digital, Analog/DTMF/OPX):

1) Enter Programming Mode

2) Press FF3 Key (Line-3)

3) Enter Port Number (1-144) #

4) Press 2 #

5) Digital phone should show Terminal Type (03) # [for 22-button digital]

  • *Note: it will show type 09 if defaulted to OPX DTMF or SLTA ;

6) On/OFF to exit
